Studio time is dedicated to your artistic process. It’s an immersive weekend designed to help you focus intensely on your work. The group setting provides inspiration as well as material and technical support. Each day starts with a slideshow of inspirational contemporary art followed by a brief warm-up exercise. Isolation in the studio can be challenging. Collective studio time offers encouragement and objective perspectives on your work. Instructor provides technical demos, guidance on formal considerations including color, composition and overall design, as well as individual and group reviews of everyone’s work. Bring your individual projects and supplies. Painting and collage in any water-based media is welcome. Maximum of 8 students.Two 4 hour sessions.
