    In this iteration of the sketchbook series, we will talk about happen when inspiration leaves you. Whether you’re in a creative rut and finding yourself making the same things over and over again, or you can’t figure out what to make in the first place. In this class we will discuss various ways to spark your creativity from mindless exercises to “hacks” to avoid decision paralysis. All mediums and experience levels welcome! Bring whatever excites you right now, and learn how to put it to use to create visual art. Even if you’re not feeling creatively “down” right now, these valuable techniques can be applied to a thriving practice as well as one that could use a bit of a kickstart. Maximum of 8 students.Three 2.5 hour sessions

    MATERIAL LIST

    *I’ve listed my recommendations here but I am very flexible in terms of what “type” of each material you get. The item in bold is the necessity and if you have something in that category, bring it along! You can always get something else with your 20% discount at the store if your item doesn’t work.

    · A sketchbook! - 9x12 Drawing is my favorite, but bring what you have!

    · Drawing materials – pencils, colored pencils, markers, paint pens, etc. I usually recommend bringing whatever you’re most excited to use right now

    · At least one loose sheet of paper – you’ll be doing an exercise involving trading pieces with other students

    · Set of markers or paints or other material you haven’t worked with much
